Jonathan Warren & The Billy Goats: Progressive PsychoBilly Folk Grass. What is it? It’s a goat chewing on a can, it’s a cat scratching at your door, its foot stomping music that makes you want to drink a beer and eat a biscuit. It’s music that makes you jump up and down, and wake up humming in the morning. It’s tunes that stick in your bones like peach cobbler. It’s new timey, post retro, pre apocalyptic, south Appalachian, gypsy folk rock.
“Like a wandering mysterious traveler, Jonathan Warren & The Billy Goats don’t quite belong in country, or folk, nor alternative, yet they spend their days smoothly passing through each, leaving an identifiable and memorable fusion of all. Raggedly soothing dual vocals, violin, banjo, mandolin, upright bass and heavy dose of swagger make up the Progressive PsychoBilly Folk Grass that is the Boise band.” -Greg Nanobot Rock Reviews
Charlie Sutton will be opening the show. Charlie is a veteran songwriter with over 25 years of live music under his belt. In 2022 Sutton released an 8-song folk EP (Trout Takes) featuring all the members of his band—Charlie & The Changelings. Trout Takes was released in spring of 2022, receiving rave reviews from such music blogs as Saving Country Music, Americana Highways, Lonesome Highway and Americana Uk. In January of 2023 Sutton released a full length western folk-rock album, Phantom Drifter, with his band Charlie & The Changelings.

Griffin House is an American singer-songwriter and storyteller. Touring and making records for over 20 years, House has a discography that includes over 13 albums. His debut record “Lost and Found” (2004) was featured on CBS Sunday Morning by music critic and then VP MTV/VH1, Bill Flanagan, who named House one of the best emerging singer-songwriters of our time.
After forging a loyal fan base through years of grassroots touring as an opener for acts such as John Mellencamp and the Cranberries, House broke through as a national headliner in 2009 with an appearance on Late Night with Craig Ferguson and the release of his underground hit “The Guy That Says Goodbye to You is Out of His Mind.”
The music documentary “Rising Star,” released on Amazon Prime in 2019, chronicles House’s journey through the music business, as he attempts to balance the challenges of life as a traveling modern-day troubadour with marriage, fatherhood and sobriety.
House’s music has been featured on prime-time television shows such One Tree Hill, Rescue Me, Party of Five, and Everwood, and reviewed in magazines such as Paste, No Depression and Rolling Stone. American Songwriter writes “if you want to be blown away by raw talent, look no further than Griffin House.” His latest release “The Tides” is a five song EP recorded with Grammy Award-winning producer Jacquire King and is set for release on Aug 29, 2023. House will appear this year at Sisters Folk Festival and will continue his US tour in 2023-2024.
