LISTEN TO THE MUSIC

Garden City’s music venues range from the raucous to the intimate — there’s truly something here for all types of music lovers. The city regularly attracts big-name musicians and performing artists from all over the world. On any given night, you can catch a jazz session, two-step to country music, or rock out to a guitar solo.

SAPPHIRE ROOM

This Riverside Hotel stalwart is the go-to spot for intimate live music. Every September through spring, the Sapphire Room brings national acts and local favorites to the stage — on any given night, you’ll hear jazz, blues, operettas, and more. Or, crank up the nostalgia with the Vintage Movie Night Series and settle back with classics like “Goonies” and “Elf.”

Visual Arts Collective

The Visual Arts Collective, or VAC, offers a showcase for performing arts, contemporary arts, and cultural programs. You’ll find a constantly rotating selection of carefully curated interactive art experiences, including concerts by artists as varied as Jason Isbell, Yo La Tengo, and local favorites Dark Swallows and Sun Blood Stories.

THE SANDBAR PATIO GRILL

The Sandbar picks up where the Sapphire Room leaves off in the spring, bringing a wide range of music styles to this outdoor bar on the Riverside Hotel property. You’ll be treated to a great view of the river while enjoying Idaho wines, specialty cocktails, and talented musicians.

WESTERN IDAHO FAIR

The Western Idaho Fair boasts a summery mix of time-honored fair events (4-H competitions, bake offs, fried indulgences) with intoxicating fun for the whole family (big-name concerts and a hopping fairway). It’s no wonder this is the biggest, most well-attended fair in Idaho!

IRONWOOD BAR & GRILL

Located in a former honky tonk, this space retains a low-key, relaxing vibe. Swing by to catch a game on the big screen, see a live band, or try your hand at cornhole and ping pong during game night. Ironwood boasts a full menu, too. Kids welcome in the bar until 8 p.m.

REVOLUTION

Comedians, national touring bands, competitions — they all grace the stage at Revolution. Large enough to support major acts but small enough to still feel intimate, this space can hold 2,200 people and includes a VIP lounge.

CINDER MUSIC EVENTS

Cinder’s tasting room plays hosts to music events, too. Sip on handcrafted wine while enjoying face-to-face time with your favorite artist — the space is large enough for great acoustics and dancing, but small enough that you’ll feel a close connection with the performers.
